A young boy asked me, "How could Hitler kill 6 million people?" It was a actually a technical question. To kill so many people he would have to have been very busy for a lot of time, and people would have to not notice for a long time before catching him. So how is it that Hitler could kill millions of people?

I answered, "With words."

The spoken word has the potency to affect the lives of billions. The greatest massacres of all time were done with organization and willful involvement of many people. How could so many act so similarly to achieve so massive an evil result?
